My College, as mentioned above is A great lush - green campus. Highly beautiful with the MAIN building as the center of attraction. Although there is always room for improvement so it is gradually improving semester- by semester.

I gave IIT-JEE for entering into one of the topmost institutes of India. I secured an almost closing rank of Computer Science Engineering at IIT Roorkee ( around 730s ). I opted for this college because I aimed at getting CSE as my branch and According to my rank, I found Roorkee as the best option, also I didn't want to go to IIT Madras or Kharakpur, so amongst the top seven IITs , Roorkee became cup- of-my tea.

In our College, IITR, Research work is highly promoted, as Professors have central government funding for undertaking research scholars for their projects, and students themselves seem enthusiastic in the research work. Moreover, in the course structure of CSE (from my experience), we tend to do atleast a minor group project under our regular professors. Not only this, but Research papers analysis of great intellects are also mandatory for tutorials. Electives are Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, and Circuits ( from Electronics Deptt).

Yes, there is a placement and training cell for internships and placements, the stipend is totally on the hand of the company ranging from 10 K per month to 75 K per month. Companies like Adobe, Microsoft, Google, and Even Facebook had come over a few years and nowadays a large number of start-ups come for hearing internees.

Same as I explained for internships, the Traning and Placement cell works day in and out to make as many placements as possible. last year Around 1600 people appeared and around 11400-1500 got placed. ( approximately ). Companies are the same as the above.

Events are Annual Cultural event- Thomso ( It is one of the biggest fest covering all the nearby colleges and certain big colleges of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and even Delhi )Technical event- Cognizance It is the 2nd largest tech fest of India, as per the stats)Sangram -sports even Christi- Hobbies clu eventAnnual sports meet conference of NSS, HSS often take place. All the above have large footfall ranging to some thousands.

The fee is feasible up to 68,000 per semester ( includes 45000 as tution fees and remaining as messing and residing ) But facilities are worth more than we pay.

Yes, the college provides MCM ( merit-cum-means), for the top 25% of students all over the branches ( with the constraints of the annual income of < 4.5 lakhs per annum )Birla white scholarship for top rankers of 1st years.NHFDC for handicapped ( contains for < 3 lakhs per annum).

The gender ratio is less. almost 10:1 boys to girls in a btech year. Other curricula are great. There is a group with proper props and instruments and all sorts of gadgets important for any performing section and for sections such as robotics and FSAE,.There is a whole soul MAC established recently for all the cultural, and all sorts of campus student-oriented stuff.

Hostel facilities, I can bet is best amongst all the IITs, single room with LAN cable attached, Clean toilets, enough space in room wth Table- chair, tea table, bed s lighting, room color and all are great. Indeed I am lucky to be in one of the new hosts

There is a specific Alumni Affair Council with proper faculty advisors, secretaries, and contacting cell. They are very very helpful in scholarships related to conducting, heritage awards, and overall performances.

Exams are: Mid-term Examinations and End-term ExaminationsMidterms at around mid of the semester and is of 3-4 days, from maybe 1 paper a day to around 2 papers a day( depending on depth)End terms are exam per day along with atleast a gap in between.

Faculty is diverse, ranging from a prof who merely created interest in the subject to a prof who is even ready for the industrial trip. The qualifications touch skies, none is less than Ph.D. and even Mastered Abroad Universities. At the bottom of the line,
