Course Curriculum Overview
Well to be honest the course structure is not well defined but yes it's better than some of the colleges. When it comes to comparison with private colleges, college lags far behind with a strong need to amend the course structure and a need to add more valuable and related subjects in every stream.
Placement Experience
The college placement is not good. Definitely it is not an engineering college. It is a normal degree college and hence the placement is not as good as it is meant to be. Students are focusing on the skill development courses and training. Most of the students have started CAT preparation in order to secure their future.
Fee Structure And Facilities
3-4 thousand per semester fees. It increases every year but still is very minimal considering the facilities provided by the college to the students. You need to fill examination fees per semester which is around 1k.
Campus Life
Campus life at our college is amazing, all over the year, different fests are organized and host by the University such as tech fest, youth fests, cultural fest, fest at national, international and state level as well are organized by the University.
Alumni/Alumna
Well the most support comes from the seniors, during the orientation you would meet some seniors and will come to know how supportive the next few years of your college are going to be. The college has a decent Alumni network with frequent visits in the college for seminars.
Admission
Admission in Falakata College to all the under graduate courses B.A. General and Honors are conducted on the basis of merit in 10+2 examination. The entrance is purely merit based. The students are required to fill an online application form in order to reserve seat for admission.
Faculty
The college has good faculty when it comes to courses like BCom while the other streams seems to be discomforted with their respective faculties provided. But yes the college is surely short of teachers, it hires PHD scholars for a short tenure in order to cope up with this issue.
