Course Curriculum Overview

I was always fascinated by the English language, the novels both fiction and non-fiction and I wanted to be a lecturer in English Hons. The course gives one a detailed knowledge about the subject. There was no entrance examination.

Placement Experience

Although the college does not provide internship opportunity, if you are creative enough, you can grab a content writing or a research project but you will have to apply for the internship off-campus. I do not know much about the placement, I opted for masters as I had to be a professor.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college is pretty affordable if compared to many other colleges. The annual fee for B.A in English Hons. is approximately 1900 INR and as the course is for 3 years the total fees come somewhere around 5900 INR.

Campus Life

I love the campus, I love the library, the faculty, the seminars and extra classes. Everything in college was just perfect. The fee was quite low as compared to the services that they provide, it is very insightful of them to prioritise knowledge over money.

Admission

One can easily get enrolled in this college, I am sharing my process to give a rough idea. I had to fill an online application form, as the college releases a merit list, I got a call from the college called after a couple of days regarding my admission and was asked to visit along with the documents.

Faculty

The faculty of the college was fine. I expected the teachers to be a bit more interactive but most of them preferred just to be connected till classes, however, the classes were knowledgeable and thoughtful.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
