Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum puts focus on subjects like structural and molecular chemistry, scale up system and formulae. The course is pretty advanced and that is why it has demand in has demand in the state of West Bengal.

Placement Experience

There are no placement opporutnities as of now in the college because of the age of the college. Still, the college faculty aids us in getting jobs elsewhere and internship. Job opportunities include Sales representative in pharma company, lab assistant, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for the two years duration of the course in Msc Chemistry is a total of 15,000 Rs, which is paid on a semester wise basis. The fees is average and affordable for most classes of the society to get a good degree in science.

Campus Life

The laboratory in college are for studying common chemical reactions and laboratory equipments and deivice. The staff are polite and help us whenever we are stuck somewhere. There are also some sports competitions annually.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors that I had encountered in my college were very helpful and open minded. They helped me adjust in the environment of the college and also aided me in studies and doubts that I ever faced. d

Admission

I got admission to the college in Msc in Chemistry on merit basis. Minimum score that are required in UG program are 50% aggregate scores. Then merit list is displayed and according to the ranking, I got admission to my favored course from a list of applied courses.

Faculty

The faculty of teachers and staff is very well qualified and assist us and help us when we are involved in practicals and projects. Also the teachers clear our doubts when assignments are involved. d

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Computer faculty is the best ??

Other than dwc, I have applied in various colleges.. like asansol girls college, burdwan women's college, many colleges of Kolkata, durgapur michal Madhusudan college, Durgapur goverment college etc.. I have also given the ug cuet exam.. But after getting chances in maximum colleges ,my family did not allow to choose that colleges ... so I have to take admission in DWC..The admission process is looking the marks of class 12 and they out the merit list ......Read More

I only gave admission test in this college, as it was the closest to my home. No i didn't get rejected as I never applied although i did gave the cuet exam and i couldn't qualify. Our college's admission process is quite simple. We had to fill the online form in the college website and then check the merit list and appear in college on the day they mention for document verification .
