Course Curriculum Overview
The course in music had an in-depth study of different forms of music, both vocal and instrumental, as well a few dance forms. It was a great artistic journey, especially for someone like me, who had been involved in music from a young age.
Placement Experience
The college has quite a few placements, but hardly any of them are ever for B.A. Music graduates. There aren't really any companies that look for music graduates. Students usually go for higher studies, look for a career on their own, or sometimes troupes and groups come looking for members. The Placement cell, of course, holds activities that help in planning and preparing for a career ahead.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The cost of the three year course is 4540 rupees annually. It's not too high, and quite manageable for the general public. In any case, there are a number of scholarships available to make it more affordable.
Campus Life
There are a lot of activities on campus. There were a number of seminars, workshops and conferences held on a number of different topics. Projects, socio-cultural programmes and camps only help add to the experience and skills. There's also a number of sports the students take part in.
Admission
The application to the college is online. Admission was based on merit, considering the results of our 10+2 examinations. The subject specialisations were filled up at the time of application, and that was also a factor in selections.
Faculty
The faculty members were all qualified, and extremely talented individuals. They were really good in their resepctive areas, and that served as an inspiration for me to improve myself. They took the time to teach the basics and more difficult skills.
