Remarks

as kolkata is Near to my home town and counselling gave me the same college as well as the fee structure of the college is quite affordable for my family. Also I taken some reviews from senior friends studying in kolkata.

Course Curriculum Overview

Yes, course curriculum is quite good. If syllabus is not completed within time faculties use to take extra classes and are quite supportive except some faculties who always seems frustrated and they can't handle their ego.

Internships Opportunities

No I am in 3rd year and hence I hadn't done such things until now.

Placement Experience

Placements condition is quite miserable. Very few students get placed in a good company and very few of them get package above average. Very less and fixed companies come to college like TCS, WIPRO, etc. But also 2-3 students get placed in BY JU's.

College Events

Yes in start of the course college was quite events friendly but from last year very less events has been allowed to be conducted. Also some big events are organised like EDGE, ANAKHRONOS etc. which are quite entertaining for the environment.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't get to know about any such scholarships. Regarding loan facility I never applied for that but one of my friend applied for it and yes loan is approved for the whole course.This college is quite friendly with loans.

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure is still on improvement when I got to college it was not well maintained but within 2 years it's improvement is quite appreciating. Also practical rooms as well as library standard improved.

Hostel Facilities

No our college has no any hostel facility rather college had taken some contracts with the local PGs in which some seniors use to stay before. The food qualities were as bad as are in hostels and rents were taken once in a year which is quite frustrating.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
