Remarks

My father's suggestion,But now I am satisfied with my college,I don't know about other departments but my department is helpful. And our professors are really very helpfull. My new College friends are also very helpfull and our lab is the main highlights of our department.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our syllabus are divided into many topics and the syllabus is really well decorated. After all the semester system was very grateful for all the students and our college also prepared us for job interviews, board interview etc

Previous years many many companies were came our college and took a lots number of students. The companies are like Wipro, TCS etc

Our college are very attentive about sports. In the art campus we play cricket, football, basketball. In my college there are two gymnasium. And we have a gym guide. Every year our college organise a sports event

Campus Life

Barrackpore rastraguru surendranath College has two campuses one is at campus and another one is science campus. I am in science campus and on campus have a library, museum, playground etc. There is lots of things, I don't even mention here but if you come then you know about it

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
