Remarks

My IIT- JEE rank was not so good that i could go to NIT or IIT NIT. By seeing the ranking in Wbjee college list, I found an autonomous college with good reputation about placement, attendance ratio and got a good feedback from some of my relatives who are in the IT feild. therefore i choose heritage

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus is according to the present scenario. Some faculties are good helpful and interactive but some teach really bad. You will most likely use books and online stuffs for studing the syllabus as it helps more than class lectures.

Placement Experience

Since its among the top colleges of West Bengal, placements are nice here. known companies like TCS, DELIOITE, WIPRO, IBM, etc visit the campus for the placement drives. The training and placement cell is helpful interactive and helps solve any problems related to placement and training.

We have a lot of fests as it is a chain of colleges for law, engineering,mba, bba etc. due to which we encounter a lot number of fest, street plays, basketball, football matches in the campus.We have a very nice campus life with 3 to 4 canteens in which we get various types of food at reasonable rates.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
