Remarks
JIS College of Engineering came as a choice in my Joint Entrance Examination Counselling. The college is a renowned college. Apart all of this I chose the college because it is an autonomous institution, where the curriculum is made by experts keeping the future of the students in mind.
Course Curriculum Overview
Being an autonomous institution the course curriculum is well structured, The course is mostly up to date. The necessary topics that are required in placement are introduced via free training programs. We've had 2 industry visits in first 2 years. The industry required expertise is well maintained by our faculty members.
Placement Experience
Many renowned companies visit our college, namely Capgemini, Zensar, Emphasis with profiles like software developer. The Training and Placement cell always conducts training programs to keep students up to date with the industry requirements. One of our alumni Riten Debnath has founded a startup called Kiwismedia.
College Events
Technical Fest or TECHFEST is held under the name of JISTECH every year. The JISTECH is really a great platform to showcase the talent, also it consits of many games and competitions. Cultural fest doesn't take place in our college. The main event of the college is JISTECH. The event is of national level, a huge number of school and college students participate in the event.
Campus Life
Sport facilities are enough, wi-fi is not so good, Library and Study rooms are big enough and well maintained by the staffs. Most of the labs have the necessary equipment and well maintained by the staff members. Though classrooms need more care and upgrade, such as boards and seats are really old, they must be replaced.
