Remarks
I chose this course because of my inclination towards electronics and programming. So, what better way to go than ECE. A perfectly balanced course which is a blend of CS and Electrical subjects. The placement record is also impressive. The course needs improvisation, more practical approach is necessary to make students understand and implement what they learn. Extracurricular is at par with any other college. Lot's of opportunity and lots of events to choose from.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are well-qualified teachers who are helpful as well. The course curriculum on the other hand needs considerable improvisation. The students can't just rely on the college curriculum since it definitely doesn't make you industry ready. The students need to go out of the way and put some extra effort for it.
Placement Experience
More than 80% of the students got direct placements. The highest salary package offered is 7.5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 2.5-1.75 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Jhonson& Johnson and others.
College Events
The Infrastructure and campus area is one the finest in West Bengal. Hostel infrastructure is not the worst but there is a room for improvement. Fooding in the Hostel mess is not so impressive but we have restaurants in campus for a change. There are PG options and rooms on rent around the campus which are really good options. The market and other shops are all within a kilometre radius and easily accessible.
Campus Life
Wi-fi is available here. Classroom and labs are also good, and the library is the best in this college. Quality of food of hostels is good enough. Students like canteen, and there is no doubt about games. Every year a programme dedicated to alumni of the college is held.
