Course Curriculum Overview
The Indian education system is always a theoretical development system with the least practical exposure. It could have been much better if students have more practical exposures. It still lags in helping students to prepare themselves for the industry. On-site campus placements were provided but they were not enough.
Placement Experience
On-site campus placements just got started in mg college back then. However, it seems it has improved a lot now. As per my understanding, even IT giant like TCS provides jobs to the students now. The college has been providing its infrastructure and technical support for the recruitment process
College Events
A cultural feast of the college is held every year. It's a big event and students as well as teachers participate in it actively.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's quite expensive compared to most of the colleges in Kolkata. It charged 42000 yearly plus exam fees as applicable through electronic modes or DD. The fee structure has been clearly explained before admission.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college provided scholarships to students. basically the scholarship is provided to the poor students who are good in studies or to the top students who secure the top positions in the school in terms of academics or sports.
Campus Life
The female to male ratio was 1:1.5. Students of all types are allowed to be admitted based on merit irrespective of culture caste creed or earnings. College provided the infrastructure for labs sports and other activities.
Hostel Facilities
The college has no hostel facility available for now. However, there are enough pgs for students in the nearby areas avg rental being 6000 p.m. They provide adequate facilities for a general student. Students requiring high tech facilities can also find pg as per their requirements but they are quite expensive
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni events are held from time to time to create an interaction with the existing students so that experiences can be passed on
Admission
Applied for admission through the merit list process then got listed into out of merit.
Faculty
Each teacher has to provide at least 100 lectures. Teachers have an age of 45 on average with good teaching abilities and highly qualified degrees. They did their best to provide an insight into the books as well as their experiences to make the students apt for tomorrow.
