Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum can be improved but it is one of the best in India. The academic culture is great. Faculties are also highly cooperative other than few eccentric professors. Professor Partha Pratim Chakraborty is one the best in his field in the entire world.

Job opportunities and placements are one of the best in IIT KGP. Most students get placed before their last semester only. All topnotch Software, technology, banking, investment banking, marketing, core companies come for placements.
College Events
IIT KGP has the best campus life, any college can offer. Every year General Championship among all halls is organised. General Championship Social, Sports and Tech. This championship is like a world war inside KGP. And you can't even imagine the kind of talent, skill, astuteness, and cleverness is displayed by the people participating or organising.
Campus Life
IIT KGP is 2100 acres huge campus. Lots of greenery forest, gardens, and modern infrastructure as well. IIT KGP was founded in 1951. It is the oldest IIT. Hence, it is a rare combination of old and new. It has many old buildings which remind us of our heritage and many ultra high tech labs, buildings, facilities and research centres are present. IIT KGP has 3 helipads, a medical college, large number of departments, schools and centres.
Hostel Facilities
It is compulsory to stay in hostels at IIT. It is called hall of residence there. The facilities are good. There is a library, music room, common room, garden, all inside the hall itself. There is Wifi everywhere. Washrooms are clean, food is okayish.
