Overall our college is good, and it is a good institute where you can study well and can secure your future. College management is not so good but at the same time faculties and infrastructure is very much good of you are lookin for a place where you cam get placements and pay less money for college feesand get a marine engineering degree then this is the college you should go for our college schedule is little bit hectic but at the same time it is going to make you strong for your marine life amd make you a well disciplined officer.

I appeared for Manet entrance exam my rank was 2nd from my city jabalpur. I opt for this college because of its quality education standards and placements. My score was not upto the mark in other competitive exams and merchant navy is a good platform where you cam earn a lot money in less time, so i opted this field and this particular college. Students who clear written exams are then called for interviews. After interviews students have to go through medical examinations and at last a merit list of selected candidates is prepared.

The course curriculum is well arranged by directorate general of shipping, india in such a manner that within span of 4 years the candidates will be able to learn and understand marine engineering thoroughly and they will be able to pass all thier exams with good marks.

Our college doesn't provide internship as such, but ot has a ship in campus where we get familiarize with machineries which are there onboard ships and it helps us lot in understanding the working which will help us a lot onboard ships. Companies starts recruiting cadets from prefinal year and also tell them about their expectations and requirements from cadets. Some of comapnies which visited our college are-Mitsui o.s.k lines, wilhelmsen ship management, wallem shipping, elite mariners, fleet management, v ships, and many more.

Placements in our college is good all those cadets who are all clear in their results are allowed to sit for campus placements. Each and every cadet is given a fair chance to sit in campus placements and try their level best to clear it.In our last batch about 80% of all clear cadets were placed and rest 20% are still given full assistance by college for their placements.Many companies visits our college. Some of those companies are-Mitsui o.s.k lines, wilhelmsen ship management, wallem shipping, elite mariners, fleet management, v ships ,m.s.c, Molta, mmsi, MTM, and , many more. All companies offers package of around 500 to 1000$ pm.I am placed in wilhelmsen ship management and it has offered me a package of 900 $ pm which is very good.

Our college celebrates a lot of cultural, religious, technocal events. We celebrate durga puja and ganesh puja aeith enthusiasm. We celebrate freshers party with full energy to make our freshers comfortable and happy. We organise manifest every year where students participate and ahow us their hidden talents in fields like singing, dancing, acting, modelling, etc. Our college organizes technical seminars where all executive officers of different companies come and give all of us a speech to make us aware of this field and motivate us to join this field.Our college organizes lots pf sports events where students participate and win prizes. Lots of candidates participates in all these national level events. Candidates from all over india come to our college to attend these national level marine events.

Fees structure is little bit expensive but at the same time it is much more less than other marine colleges in pune. The total fees for b.tech marine engg which is a 4 year course is 12 lakhs approximately and for b.s.c nautical science it is 10 lakhs approximately. The fee structure is less if you compare this with any other marine college in pune so i would suggest this college because of its feasible fees structure.

Our college provides various scholarships to students who have scored 85 % in 12th and to those whose parental income is less than 3 lakhs pm. Girl cadets are also given scholarships provided they clear all subjects in their first attempt. Students holding national level sports certificates are also given scholarships. Our college also helps us in getting loans from banks easily.

Oir college is a male dominated college and there are very less no. of girls in our college.Among 100% strength 20% are girls and rest are boys. There are lots of parties which were held in our college like freshers party.Our college organizes Manifest every year where students are given chance to show and explore their hidden talents and bring out in front of audience. Our college also celerates lots of religious festivals like ganesh puja, durga puja, diwali and many more with great enthusiasm.Talking about sports, there are lots of sports events held by our college our college organizes National maritime sports meet, national level sports summit, interhouse sports competitions, and many mlre sports events. There is a convocation ceremony for pass out cadets where they are invited and congratulated by our college principal and a passing out parade is alos held for them.Our college also organizes Maritime day, national maritime seminars, teachers day, and many more events.

Hostel rooms arenot so good as three person are supposed to share a single room which creates a lot of mess in the room. Hostel facilities are good as our room is daily cleaned by maids and inspected by hostel wardens. Hostel wardens our very strict and they ounish students if they catch any student doing mischief in the hostel premises our hostel is resedential so no one allowed to stay outside the hostel. Hot water supply is also provided there is no wifi i our hostel recreation rooms are provided for students seperate sports rooms are provided for playing indoor games gym is also there in our hostel.Mess foodis good and we are given food of good quality sometimes we have issues with food taste but it is sorted out at the earliest by mess committee members. In mess we are served fruits everyday.We are served desserts everyday.

My experience with my college seniors was awesome as they helped me a lot in getting placements and helped me throughout my studies whenever i had any doubt related studies they are their to solve it our seniors are very helpful and cooperative in nature some of our seniors who had sailing experiences also shared their experience with us and told us the tricks to survive onboard my seniors also helped me in my project work.

Exams schedules are not hectic we are given sufficient time to prepare for the exams and score well. Labs are very frequent but it doesn't make our schedule hectic because it is arranged in such a way that you won't feel hectic and also we learn lot of practical things from labs.

Faculties of our college are one of the best faculties compared to other marine colleges in pune our faculties are ex mariners who have got marine experience and which helps them a lot to share their experiences with us and make us familiarize with this field. They are very understanding and cooperative and help us whenever we have any problems.
