Remarks

Just checkout our college fest named expressions on youtube and facebook. Star celebrity performance and 3 days of unlimited fun. And one of the best thing about XIMB is student's performance in corporate case study competitions. They are at par with any other Top Schools in that regard.

Course Curriculum Overview

All the faculty members have Ph.D. in their respective field with most of them having industry experience that makes their lectures quite insightful. My best takeaway was the courses I had taken in finance. It was rigorous yet enjoyable. Classes are mostly lecture based with cases in between and overall the academic pressure was high especially in 1st year.

Placement in consulting and marketing was very good while next best is in finance where HSBC, Deloitte Financial Advisory, GMR, ICICI, Axis Bank, ICRA offers profile ranging from Investment banking to credit rating and corporate finance etc. Consulting offers are offered by Deloitte USI & India as well as PwC, CBC, IBM etc. If you are looking for jobs in operations then you might be disappointed as the number of such jobs is less.

College Events

XIMB has decent infrastructure with AC Classrooms, a great library, comfortable hostels with night canteen facility. It has a football field, Indoor games spot and tennis court and gym too. Wi-Fi is available 24x7. GR-1 Mess serves some good quality munchies like nachos, burger at night that feels even better when you are up for a full night study or case presentation.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

I had applied to IIM's , XLRI Jamshedpur, IMT Gazhiabad. I had been selected for IMT Gazhiabad dual country program (PGDM-DCP). I had given PI for several IIM's, got selected for IIM Sambalpur and IIM Bodhgaya also but did not go there. And the colleges I could not convert are because of the questions related to my undergraduation. I had answered all the questions related to my work experience that they had asked. Overally I had performed not upto the mark, so did not get selected. Admission process in our college is through CAT, XAT and XGMT exam. Generally cut offs for this college goes around 92 percentile for non domicile and 91 percentile for domicile students. I had scored 95.80 percentile in CAT 2023. A short summary about XIMB

I opt for this college because it's one of the top five best college in east india it's reputed government registrar and trust worthy. the placement and infrastructure is also very good. I didn't apply for many colleges I just applied for St Xavier's College Ranchi I gave the written and interview and was cleared in both the exams but because of its infrastructure and no placement I didn't went there. Admission to XIMB can be secured in 3 ways: CAT, XAT, and XGMT. The exams are held from November to January time frame and the admission forms open from around October goes on till January.
