C.Ajay Kumar's Review On National Institute Of Technology - [NITC], Calicut

Overall the college management is good the college do best for the students improvement its the students duty to get maximum knowledge from the college and faculty members. I will give a 4.8/5 rating for the college management and For the studies 4.5/5.

I have written AIEEE exam I got an 13663 rank i opted for this, because its in the top of 3 NIT's i like weather here. and the culture, environment etc. Moreover the campus faciities, education is good. I got ECE branch here.

The curriculum is very good. Almost every part of the core subjects are touched and for doing research is also very useful. Many of the students are doing Ph.d here. The best part of the studies are projects. The facilities and equipment are given best quality

As a 4th year student, i attended some of the companies but our faculty are told that we should not spread those things. The placement representatives, faculty members are so good. They always shows us a right thing to take. either job or higher studies etc.

The placements are very good this year. in our branch most of the students got placed and many of the students got their passion jobs as like i am very intrested in programming part, and the good thing is i got placed in that field only. Like wise many of the students are got placed in their intrested fields.

There are two major events celebrated in our college one is Ragam and Tathva. ragam is cultural fest celebrated in the month of march or april. Most of the students in near by college,will participate in this fest. and coming to tathva, it is technical fest. Many of the science, technical , core related projects, seminars will be conducted in this fest. It is celebrated in the month of november or october.

The fee structure is good at the time i am joining it is less. but now the government has increased the prices , so the All the nits and IIts are increased the fee structure. But Increase in fee structure is due to the ne equipment that are required for the labs, computer facilities etc.

As i got a good grade in my intermediate, i have got a scholarship at the time of admission only. Later i got a scholarship from the college as my parents annual income is low. So at present i am getting both scholarships from the last 2 years the college also provides different scholarships for sc/st students also.

The campus life is good the students are very friendly and there is no difference like states ,gender etc. The Students equally participate in all the events without difference of any gender and caste or state. The college also conducts inter NIT sports on some days there are also many clubs like DND , Teamunwired , areowired etc which provides a good knowledge for the students and IEEE, ISTE the groups which make best projects.

The hostel facilities are good for 1st years there will be 4 members per room For 2nd years they will provide a room 2 members per room and for 3rd years again 4 members per room and for 4th years they will provide a single room. The mess is available for every hostel,And there are veg mess and non veg mess, north non veg, south veg and non veg, kerela non veg etc are available in different mess.

There should be a good communication between the seniors and juniors now there is a large gap between the, due to this many of the students are not able to perform on some things which do not have any idea on which side, they want to go there should be some guidance from the senior students and alumni also. Then only the students will come know what they have to do and how to approach the things.

The exam structure is good like we have two mids and one end semester. In between there are assignments and seminars, tutorials ,small projects etc for some marks around 10 or 20. The mids are for 20 mrks and the end semester exam is for 50 marks. The exam pattern is subjective. The labs are also given importance each lab is 2 credit and there will be 2 labsper semester.

The faculty are very good the way they provide teaching, explanation, doubts clearance etc are good they will help a lot in many of the things either personal or technical, etc. they also help u to choose the right path for your future inorder to achieve the goal.
