Remarks

First of all college campus is moderate, Faculties are very helpful and they always try to give knowledge to students, Campassing is good for CSE, moderate for ECE. Techfest is organised but not so good. No cultural festival is organised but college life is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is updated. Industrial exposure is not good. But faculties are very good. Faculties always try to give knowledge to students and always try to help students. Faculties always inspire us towards coding.

Placement Experience

Placement is good. Average is 3lpa. Highest 4lpa. There are many job opportunities like in TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Mindtree, Extra marks etc. Internship opportunities are moderate.

College Events

Campus life is moderate. There is no cultural fest, no sports fest. There is a tech Fest in our college but that is not upto the mark. Only one in a year sport is organise. We observed Republic Day, Independence Day, Biswakarma Puja.

Campus Life

Our college has one playground. Besides college donot give us nothing like bat,ball, football. Sports facilities are not good. Labs are moderate. We do experiment in a group of 6 or 10. Library has books but they are very old.

Hostel Facilities

I donot live in hostel. But according to my friends who take hostel they tell that hostel infrastructure is moderate. Food is moderate. Hostel life is good. In hostel students organise a inter cricket tournament,Holi.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
