Manohar's Review On National Institute Of Technology - [NITP], Patna

Our college is good for those students who want to become a successful engineer our college have enough resources and facilities to make a successful engineer the management is little bit poor in our college, but it never hinder us to achieve our goal.

I had appear in JEE MAIN 2013 and i scored 209 marks out of 360 i got all india rank 28978. I had fill all the NITs in order because any how I want mechanical engineering Branch. And ultimately I got NIT Patna there was also a region behind selecting this college that is, the placement of NIT patna was quite good related to others NITs nearby.

Course curriculum is good and capable of educating us our particular branch the curriculum is nearly same as IITs. In our college, we are eligible for electives from 3rd year in 3rd year we have to elect 2 subjects out of 4 (in both the 5th and 6th semester)all the elective subjects are related to our branch. Each elective subject is specific in a particular field of our branch.

No any company till date visited our college to offer internship but students apply off campus for internship and they got the same 3 to 4 students got their internship abroad and they are full paid internships like DAAD, Mitacs etc. The stipend provided indian internships are nearly rs 8000-10000 per month.

The placements and job opportunities in college is very good and almost one job for each students is sure.in this session 2015-2016 till date nearly 200 students were placed.the companies came to campus are BPCL, IOCL, Snapdeal, Amazon, SAP LAB, Texas Instrumentation, Fiat and Chrysler automobiles, TATA motors, Hero, Maruti suzuki, Godrej, Ericcision , sapient, dhristi soft, zomato , fact-set, INFOSYS, IBM, Wipro, TCS, Mahindra and Mahindra, and many more.packages offer are varied from 25 lacs per annum to 3.25 lacs per annum.amazon - 25 lacs per annumDhristi soft - 16.9 lacs per annum, snapdeal - 15.25 lacs per annum, BPLC and IOCL - 11.1 lacs per annum, sap lab- 9 lacs per annum, fact set- 9 lacs per annum, tata motors - 6.25 lacs per annum, hero and mahindra - 6 lacs per annum, maruti suzuki - 6.5 lacs per annum, fiat - 4.80 lacs per annum, infosys and IBM - 3.25 lacs per annumetc.

Technical fest , cultural fest , managements fest, and sports meet all are organised in our college from 20 to 30 January every year students from more than 10 colleges use to participate the events were sponsored by companies like Coke studio, vodafone, honda, SBI, etc total more than 2500 students participated in it every year there were attractive prize money awarded to winners.

Fee structure is feasible.when i take admission in 2013 tuition fee was 17500 per semester but now according to MHRD govt of india fee is raised to 35000 per semester by session 2014 detailed figure is for current session 2015-2016, tuition fee - 35000 per semester, hostel fee - 12000 per year, mess fee - 22000 per year, other misc fee - 9000 per year.

Our college provide loan for students to buy laptops they give us 45000 as loan to buy laptops but for availing this loan a student have to follow so many formalities, simply its hard to get that loan.

Gender ratio is bad in our college occasionally we use to organize hostel parties the College and college clubs like ASME, IEEE use to conduct workshops on various topics. tolerance with regards to gender is good on weekends extracurricular activities are organised by the college clubs religion sexual orientation, politics are no matter of interest for students of our college publically if any one have interest then he/she use to tell his friends only not publically.

The hostels are good and each room is shared by 3 students the floors are furnished with tiles and marbles, the bath rooms and toilets are also of good quality the maintenance and washing of the bathrooms are done periodically after 1 day.only problem is that only 29 percent of students get hostel of college rest have to stay outside in PGs they use to pay about 1800-2000 per month in PGs the quality of mess food is upto a mark that everyone can eat easily.they use to cook seasonal vegetables and also serve us salads.

The best part is the seniors of our college they are very good, helping, caring and loving in every aspect the alumni are also helping and they use to sponsor our some events and projects.

Labs are so frequent and make us feel tired and there were only two exams in a semester mid-semester exam and end-semester exam.

Most of the faculties of our college are highly qualified and having a good experience in research but some of them does not having interest in teaching us. They are just fulfilling formalities of teaching some of them are very interested in teaching us and they teach us with full enthusiasm and they are very helping and caring related to our studies over all faculties standards is good but some of them are very poor in their fields.
