With the entrance exam score I had scored, this was the best available option plus DIT is near from my home. City is well connected, even if one chooses not to opt for in campus hostel, there are numerous options for getting accommodation.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum for CORE branches are outdated, not particularly for my college, but for various private colleges.Saturation has come in CORE jobs. CORE jobs now also focus more on software applications which no college teaches.
Placement Experience
Primarily CS-IT companies come for recruitment. Low hopes for core students. College ties up with CAT/GATE preparatory institutes implying that core students are being looted.
College Events
Campus life was good, had fun,remember the late long night walks. Did a project of manufacturing a formula style car for an event named Formula Bharat. Although night walks for girls should be allowed for girls too, obviously not mixing up with boys. Since boys go out on walk in late night whenever they want, same should be the option for girls. The area of the campus can be divided separately after college hours with necessary barricading in place.
Campus Life
Sports facility- needs to be improved with the amount of fee being payed by student. Buildings are fine. Library is fine, although apple desktops should be replaced with WINDOWS one. Lab equipments were average. WiFi- not good.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure was fine, but the food in the mess was always a problem. Complaints every time. This is why I opted to move out of campus in the final year with my friends who had moved out a year earlier. Cheaper option imo. My rent was 4500/-. We had maid in our rented accommodation for food. Laundry option was also available. Campus hostel prices shooted up to 85K /- which was way higher.
