Remarks
The diversity of the Delhi University and great faculty members made me choose the college. Delhi University provides the best exposure to its students, people all over India join the University, even foreign students also join the University. This helps in increasing communication and personality skills in an individual. The University have various society in each college which help one to polish and acquire skills. Kirorimal college is one the best college for Bcom course. It has one of the best faculty. The college has a peaceful and knowledge environment, that's why I chose this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Delhi University provides good academics to it's students. The subjects which are included in my course are always upto date and are useful for your further competitive examination. Faculties are good,with best knowledge and regular classes they help the in achieving great academic score. We have regular mentor mentee metting which also provide us a platform to discuss our problems in a more friendly manner.
Internships Opportunities
I applied this year, it is provided by the placement cell. Soon we are going to have companies.
Placement Experience
The college has placement cell which come up with various companies. Deloitte, Wipro and many other companies visit the college. The college have noticable alumni like Sandeep Maheshwari, Amitabh Bachchan And many others. Metvy is a start up launched by our seniors.
College Events
Delhi University provides the best campus experience, and North campus is best in this. Each college have different societies such as NSS, Placement cell, Enactus, Round Table and other course based societies like Comsoc, ecosoc etc. which hold their events two times in a year, other than that we have Diwali mela, food fair, book fair, annual fest (which is the best of Delhi University). Students are allowed to go to each other colleges and participate in the events it hold.
Campus Life
Kirorimal college is a government college, so comparing to other colleges it has good infrastructure. Big rooms with proper day light and ventilation. The college also has gym, a large play ground. The library of the college is of two floors and third one will be construed soon, book collection and space is enough, Library also had a facility to keep our belongings safe. The college also have good large labs but I don't have knowledge regarding them because my course don't have lab classes.
Hostel Facilities
My college only has boys hostel, so I haven't had the opportunity for the hostel. I opted PG for accommodation purpose, There are various PG's near college, many people also go for flat also. PG start from 6000 but it depends on your choice and the facilities you want. Location plays a big role in deciding the rent. More it is near the college higher the price is.
