I have always been inspired by the likes of Albert Einstein, so I decided to pursue a career in research in physical sciences. My college is ranked among the top 10 universities in Uttarakhand and holds a 'B++' NAAC accreditation, so I was naturally attracted by its excellence in academics, renowned faculties and scenic location.

My curriculum was based on UGC's choice-based credit system and provided me with an in-depth study of the subject through core courses coupled with electives. I was constantly under the guidance of competent faculties with diverse research backgrounds and technical intelligence, who believe in learning through experiments.

My college has a placement cell that recognizes the potential and abilities of a varied plethora of students and organizes activities like pre-placement talks, industry academia workshops, placement drives, entrepreneurship seminars, etc. to help students attain their desired lucrative jobs. Some of the most popular companies like Infosys, Amazon, SAGE, Policy Bazaar, Reliance Digital, Max New York, etc. visit on-campus to recruit students.

I had a happening social life in my three years of college because of the frequent events that were organized. Most of the important national days including Independence Day, Ambedkar Jayanti, Gandhi Jayanti, etc. were celebrated along with various other cultural fests, intercollegiate sports tournaments, debates, seminars and guest lectures.

My college boasts of a state-of-art infrastructure and a soothing environment as it is located in the foothills of the Shivaliks. The most attractive feature of my college was the lush-green campus, adorned with world-class facilities like a central library, gymnasium, courts for various sports, auditoriums, etc. My college has all the required academic amenities including laboratories and computer labs for the 8 schools of study.

The Shivalik Boys Hostel was home to the best memories of my graduation period. It was a blessing to stay on-campus as we attended tutorials and group discussions after our regular classes. My hostel was well-equipped with all the modern facilities, Wi-fi compatibility and single room accommodation for all students. My favorite place was the cafeteria where I spent most of my free time in college.
