Remarks
Goenka is one of the renowned colleges for commerce across India and me being from commerce background had a great desire to get admitted in this college. The faculty is good and also professors are very dedicated and sincere to their job. I needed to have my bachelor degree so I went for this course.
Course Curriculum Overview
My batch was the first batch in CBSE system so whether it is beneficial for students that will found out in the coming year , I personally felt the syllabus was quite updated as our entire course is divided six semesters I think it covered almost everything. Well I did not get much industrial exposure from my institution , I am perusing CA but there was not that so called guidance provided from my institution.It only focused on my degree course. I think the amongst al faculty the administrative faculty is pretty good in my college.
Placement Experience
Amongst two or or three colleges I remember deloitte company visited our college for placements. The process was as follows : 1. First the students(who are interested) had to give a online exam. 2.The selected ones were called for an group discussion (in formal ofcourse). 3. The ones who were selected after group discussion were called for a final personal interview. We are just about to get our graduation certificate, so no there is no significant start ups from my batch mates yet.
College Events
My college holds annual fest every year , different seminars for the careers of the students also get held time to time. Also there is socials, sports etc. I personally never participated in any of the event apart from attending some seminars. I would not say that the fests or socials are too grand but they are okay.
Campus Life
This is negative point I would like to mention. The infrastructure to teach E-filing is very disappointing (it is getting advanced though, in near future this will too get in line). Library size is okay but I won't say much regarding the availability of books.
