Remarks

One of the best private Engineering college in kolkata. Biotechnology is taught in very few colleges in Kolkata My personal desire was to study biotechnology, and there is no better college for biotechnology than Heritage in kolkata.

Course Curriculum Overview

Every year the students of this college get very good results in GATE examination from Biotechnology. Exam syllabus is very updated. Every year final year students are given an industrial visit. The faculty is very helpful, whether in college or after college,if there is any need, they are by the side of the students, they give PDFs of various useful books to the students by email.

In addition to the technical fest,the cultural festival is also quite large.Eclecia is one of the biggeset cultural festivals in Kolkata. It's attracting more than 10,000 people every year. The college has various clubs where students have the opportunity to express and enhance their talents

Campus Life

The entire college campus has wifi facilities. The library is fully air-conditioned, and books on all subjects are available from the library. The college has everything from carom, gym, table tennis to badminton courts, football fields.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
