Remarks

To be Honest, Biotechnology as a course is not provided by much Colleges in West Bengal(Btech Biotechnology, Not BSC Biotechnology), Also, Heritage provides the best training in Biotechnology that i can say for sure. The Faculties, Facilities given are Amazing. Personally, I always wanted to study something related to Biology in my Undergrad, Plus as a benefit, You also get to learn the basic engineering lessons which are not taught to Bsc Candidates

The Course Curriculum is well versed and up to date with the Recent Advances and researches in the respective Subjects and Domains. Being In my First year yet, I haven't been exposed to any Industry yet. The Faculties are all Highly Qualified and well Versed in their Subjects.

The Campus Life is pretty Nice at HITK. The Events held, Sports, Freshers Party, Everything is Awesome and All Students Participate in them with utmost excitement. There are two Fields, So there is no shortage of Recreation.The Canteens provide fresh food which are amazing at cheap prices. To Sum it all up, A lot more happens here other than just studying

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
