Remarks
I was determined to study biotechnology and according to quite a lot of online reviews and ratings, heritage Institute of technology was found to be one of the best private institutes for biotechnology. Being an autonomous institute, it provides a very precise and updated curriculum, which helps to build extensive knowledge of a student. In addition to it, the well-equipped labs, a vast library, seminars, projects, trainings, internships arranged by the college, prepare the students for meeting the professional needs.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our syllabus is precise and updated as per requirement. Our college arranges a lot of seminars, industrial visits, trainings, projects etc. which prepare a student for meeting all kinds of professional needs. The faculties of our department are really very co-operative and friendly to whom we can approach with kinds of doubts regarding the academics. We also have our mentor and counsellor who guides us through any kind of problems other than academics. The HOD of our department, Dr. Srabanti Basu, is whom I admire the most, both as a professor and a human being.

Placement Experience
TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro,Cognizant are some of the companies which visit. But specifically, in our department, students mostly opt for higher education. They mainly appear for entrance exams like GATE and GRE.
College Events
The biggest attraction of our college is our annual fest ECLECIA. It is the biggest college fest in eastern India. Along with that, we have our tech fest DAKSH, TEDX, Sports week etc. The fresher's party takes place in our college for 2 days which ends with an awesome DJ night. Apart from this, our college participates in many fests and competitions arranged by other colleges. We have many cultral, social and literary clubs which remain active throughout the year.
Campus Life
We have a huge campus full of greenery. It is completely under cctv surveillance. We have three buildings, each provided with an elevator. The campus is shared by four other institutes under the heritage group. We have a wide ground where you can play football, cricket, volleyball etc. There are other smaller fields too. We have a very neat and clean canteen which serves varieties of delicious dishes at quite a cheaper price. We also have a store which sells stationary items and other needful stuffs. The central library is huge and it fulfills almost all our needs for books, sample question papers, education magazines etc. It also a digital library in it which the students and professors can access anytime. The labs which I have visited so far are well-equipped and well-maintained.
