Shrijita Das's Review On Heritage Institute Of Technology - [HIT], Kolkata

Securing a rank of 3k in WBJEE I was deprived of some renowned Govt colleges of west Bengal. Thus I was looking forward for some good private colleges in my state and I found Heritage Institute of Technology as not only the best one in Kolkata but also better than some of the govt colleges of WB according to their NIRF rankings. According to me it is not that easier for an autonomous college to provide with wholesome education as it has to follow the syllabus and the examination pattern of the University it is under but in Heritage the administration and the faculties have designed the whole education structure in such a wonderful manner that we don't get anything lesser than the other universities do and that too in a quite student-friendly manner.

There are various clubs in the college like as the Resonance club (music club of hitk), Pravasana club (art club) etc which helps us in developing our cocurricular activities also we have a huge student council body which holds a student from each section of each dept of every year which helps maintaining proper decorum of the college campus and also organizes various programs in college

As jobs and placements are concerned, our college provides almost 100% placement that to in some highly reputed and advanced companies like as TCS Digital, Infosys, Microsoft, Wipro etc Some of our alumni are now securing their higher education at some IITs and some are also there in some abroad colleges and companies. On an average our college offers pretty lucrative placement packages having an average range of 5-6 LPA

All of our faculty members are highly qualified from quite renowned universities and provides us with their best. They are quite supportive and interactive and are always there to allocate adequate time to each student clearing out their doubts. Other than the internal assessments the professors arrange some assignment test or provide with a whole lot of assignment after completing each topics which keeps us updated and we don’t lag behind.

the central library is the biggest library after National Library of kolkata The college provides us with a 24hrs wifi facility and also have various fields for various sports activities As a student of Computer Sc engineering I feel the comp lap to be quite well equipped and also the college canteen serves us with good and adequate food at a reasonable price

Hostel facility is too good starting from the food to security There are 2 hostel wardens in each of the 4 girls hostel and one boys hostel who all take attendance of the ones living in hostel every day at 8 pm The ones staying in hostel are equipped with 24*7 electricity and water supply
