Remarks
I was always keen in the subject Business Studies from class XI onwards,so i searched and i came to know that if,I wanted to further carry my studies considering Business Studies as my core field of study,there is a course called B.B.A.for which i can opt further as my graduation course.From the first day,my parents don't wanted me to send very far away from my home town which is Dhanbad,Jharkhand for studies,but also there was no force for me to opt for any particular course,as well.And,after knowing that I wanted to pursue B.B.A as my graduation course and for that i will never be allowed to choose a college which was very far away from my home town,I was given an option for Ranchi or Kolkata.Where, both being almost at the same distance,I had chosen Kolkata.And,then after my boards exam I started searching for every college in Kolkata having course of B.B.A and there,I found that J.D. Birla Institute was ranking first for pursuing B.B.A in the Eastern Region of India.I also querried from many people about this college,and all of them said that yes,I should get admission in that college.It is a very good college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Almost all faculty members are very good,always cooperative,readily available at any time within the college hours,but there is no industrial exposure as of now and more or less,the course syllabus is also up-to-date.
Placement Experience
The Entrepreneur cell of the college is no doubt doing the best.They always try to come up with new innovative ideas for the students to take advantage.Being a 2nd year student,i dont know much about the company visits to the college.
College Events
The campus life is ZERO.There is one Management festival that is INVICTUS which is held in the month of February every year.It is conducted on the National Level.The participation is in the good amount.It is a fun event.and,in the college days different programs,seminars are also conducted by the committee members of the respective fields or by the college.
Campus Life
Infrastructure like sports facilities can be ranked as average,no availability of wi-fi,library is good there are a good number of books in the library with quality books and also,equipment in labs are good.
Hostel Facilities
There is no hostel facility as of now in the J.D. Birla Institute.I live in PG where in if opted for the same in the areas near college,the rent to be paid starts from Rs.11,000 for every PG which is not easy to find.
