Remarks

Good is free WIFI, extra ordinary infrastructure, well furnished library and canteen, big grass lawn, Gurudwara and cleanliness. Bad is nothing to be very frank. Its just principal was strict but that too for our sake.

Entrance Preview

No one. I scored 94.75% and thus got admission on merit.I didnt look for other colleges. I simply looked on cutoff. My percentage was accurate for this college and respective course thus I stepped in.

Internships Opportunities

Yes there is a Placement cell in college. During my time we had invited letsintern.com Every year startups as well as good companies come in. The general stipend is Rs 4000 to 5000.

Placement Experience

3

Its good but primarily for Bcom Hons and Bcom pass candidates. The opportunities of Placement is not so good for economics hons and BSC students since very few nearly 2 or 3 companies comes in for these courses. For Bcom hons companies are KPMG, E&Y, Deloitte etc. Avg package is Rs 3 lac per annum. For economics hons RBS and airtel came in. RBS offered 1.75 lac and airtel provided 3.25 lac per annum.

College Events

5

1: NSS Go green Cycling event, 2: Annual fest, 3: Blood donation camp by NSS and Rotaract, 4: Debate competition, 5: Quiz competition, 6: Virtual share market, 7: Taekwondo classes for girls by NSS, 8: Health camp with focus on Anaemia by NSS, 9: Food and cloth collection, 10: Drama societies intercollegd competition, 11: Cricket matches, 12: Dance and singing competitionand many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its expensive as compared to other DU colleges like I paid approx 17000 per year for economics hons while in colleges like ARSD its nearby 6000 or 7000.But again college is best among all colleges if you will see the infrastructure so the fee they charge looks so small in regard to facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes they provide monetary reward to top 3 students of respective courses and semester. The money is on average Rs 3000. Also there is facility of some reduction in fee for under privileged. For that they have to apply during admission.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio is nearly equal. I never found too much of one sex. College is equipped with free WIFI. There are infinite extra curricular activities available. Approximate 10 to 15 societies are there. From dancing to social work, from singing to debate or even for Bhangra Divinity Poster making, there is a society for each and every thing depending upon student's interest. Annual farewell parties happen, both formal (organised by college) and informal(organised by student's union). If you will compare the college with rest of DU colleges there is no political pressure. Even during DUSU elections one can hardly see any campaigning in premises. All over its good place to study.

Hostel Facilities

2

There is no hostel available. The outstation students had to look for PG. The nearby PG are costing Rs 6000 monthly without food and Rs 8000 with food but sacrifice with food and room quality will be there. But students can go for rental flats etc. There are many PG available on 5 to 10 minutes distance by road.

Alumni/Alumna

It depends upon person to person. My seniors were helpful. They guided me for everything from future scope of course to opportunities in higher studies. Everyone was friendly and jolly with nature.

Exam Structure

Exams happen in college only. Every thing happens as per guildlines of university i.e. 2 times internals and 1 time external per semester. And hectic or chilled out depends upon whether you studied last night or you were chilling last night too.I belong to economics hons so we never had lab but if I speak about friends of other courses say bcom hons so labs happen very often. The computer labs are well equiped. There are printers and internet connection provided for students.

Faculty

4

Nearly every teacher is holding doctorate degree. Even the teachers on ad hoc basis are well qualified. As far as their interest is concerened, faculty emphasise on every student. Even Principal of college takes care and looks upon the proper education of students and takes care of regular lecture delivering.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
