Remarks
After clearing NEET exam, I got called for allotment process conducted in Bangalore. According to my marks and rank ,I had a few options to choose from. I chose BGS GIMS because of the location of the college in Bangalore, travel options and opportunities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The five year MBBS program offers teaching and training in 21 subjects as instructed by MCI/NMC. The teaching college and training medical college is beneficial with smart classrooms, laboratories, libraries and experienced faculties. The student faculty ratio is 45:1. The college conducts regular internals and practical exams to test and help students and is according to the affiliated University, RGUHS. The coaching is sufficient enough to clear the one of the toughest university exams in the course.
Internships Opportunities
Internship offers for one year is offered inside the campus itself. Intense training and helpful faculties are the attractions of the program. Each month stipend is also provided based on the scholarship and admission criteria. It varies from 5000-23000
Placement Experience
Placement offers in MBBS colleges are rare. But the teaching hospital is linked with Gleneagles hospitals and Apollo Pharmacy. Each year approximately 70% students gets placement offers.
Fees and Financial Aid
Depending on the stream you get into the college, the course fee per year will vary from 1.2 lakhs to 6.5 lakhs. The college offers installment facilities for students who cannot pay at once. Depending on your criteria of admission, you can avail scholarship from Karnataka Government and other trusts which offer them.
Campus Life
Tye campus is spread across a 5 acre land which includes playgrounds, courtyard, indoor stadiums and gymnasium. Socializing through different streams and batches takes place within the campus and hostel premises as well as sports and arts fest conducted annually and occasionally biannually. Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Badminton, Table tennis are the main sporting activities available and occasionally with coaches. A regular functioning gymnasium with an instructor is also available.
Interview Experience
There will be an interview with the ward and their parents and another with the student itself. The interviewer checks the basic knowledge in science and concerns about extra curricular activities
