Remarks

As a rail enthusiast, it was my dream to study at Railway University which came true with the vision of our honourable prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi jee. It was a new institute and we were going to be the first batch of NRTI. Campus is beautiful.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is totally new. As I already told that NRTI is a new institute so the course curriculum is modern and full of skills. We also visited various industries, sea port and railway stations for industrial exposure. We have also took part in 2 months internship program provided by Indian Railways after completion of 1st year.

Class Size: 58Course Fees: INR 91500 per year

Internships Opportunities

2 months summer internship in Indian Railways, Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India. It was an unpaid internship.

Placement Experience

Right now, we have no idea about placement. We are going to be the first batch who will graduate from this institute. But college do have a placement cell which look after placement related things. They assured is that we all will get placed in a reputed organization. So let's see how well our placement will go.

College Events

Campus life is full of fun. We don't have so much classes to attend. We have only 2 classes of 2 hour each to attend per day on an average so we get ample amout of time for other activities. We take part in various events such as Marathon, Blood donation camp, Cleanliness drive, Yoga camp etc

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't applied for any scholarships or loan facility and nor did I got any. Each student of 1st year of batch 2018 got a scholarships of around 37500 rupees which is provided by ministry of railways.

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure is not so good. It is ok ok type. Indoor games are fine but not so good for outdoor games due to unavailability of playground space. Cricket and football ground are short. Good for short matches. Badminton court is awesome. It also has a swimming pool.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is the best thing about this institute. On a twin sharing basis, we are about 86 students living in a hostel block. Air conditioned rooms, Separate washroom, good room infrastructure, recreation room for fun and games etc

Placements start to comence from 7th sem.It is the eligibility criteria for all students. Companies like Sopan Industries etc have visited the campus for placement purpose. India's 1st rail transportation Institute with vision to become the leading university (under process to be an Institute of national importance) that grabbed my attraction. Also,our syllabus is designed in such a manner that, very few university (may be IIMs only in Indian case) in India have. Like we have critical thinking, design thinking, Operations research, etc and no other engineering colleges can provide this in India but it is general in abroad universities.We have trimester system which again makes it different than Indian colleges. In addition to that we have a choice based credit system that means students have freedom to choose their curriculum with their interests. NRTI a college for Transport Enthusiasts.

The National Rail And Transportation Institute is one of its kind and in the entire nation there is no other Institute that offers any similar curriculum. Since very small age I had developed an affection towards Transport Sector and being a Railfan it was quite simple while going for this college. This college offers a very wide variety of subjects and courses which is helpful in every way but at the same time due to vast variety, it becomes tough for the students to cope up with every single subject. The admission process is very simple we just had to qualify for an aptitude test taken by NRTI and I am really thankful to an Inside NRTI team that helped me in this.
