Mediocre college at best

A very complicated management which causes you to keep visiting offices for very simple tasks again and again. Though you get used to it in first semester.

The college follows all latest norms provided by AICTE in its curriculum. It is highly relevant towards the technical education that should be provided. actually as it is a government college the quality of labs is much better than other colleges and you can see almost all the equipments in action which you only see in diagrams and videos in other colleges. Regarding exams the system is a bit outdated as even to this date the college uses absolute marking system. this leads to lower CGPA compared to other College students. Ultimately it's all fair in the education field and if you study well you will get good quality knowledge for future.

There are enough companies coming for campus placement for the college nowadays. the package isn't very high but it's decent. though the atmosphere is better to encourage students for post graduation so many students don't even consider getting a job after graduation. considering internships our college is useless. training incharge sleeps in the office with no information about anything. they only take us to industry visits sometimes. no help is given considering our requirements for internships.

Our college organises alot of events throughout the year for recreational purposes. this includes the most popular technology festival named Colosseum. this includes multiple events which provides students with rewards if getting positions. the events include programming competition, gaming competition, literary contests and other fun events.

Fees are completely normal as the college is run by government of Uttarakhand. it's much reasonable than any other private college. 50000 per 6 month in general is a good idea. Branch wise fees is also almost same. mode of payment includes online payment along with bank payment also. you just have to pay for a one time fee no additional charge has to be paid for that semester. even event joining fee is included in the semester fees you pay at the start of each semester.

Many scholarships are available for students belonging to financially weak families though I am not much familiar about that system.

Campus is secluded from city life. this leads to a good and calm lifestyle. there is a lot of greenery and the hostels are near the college so you won't be late in general. there are little number of girls as compared to boys. this is a general norm in engineering colleges. though Pantnagar is a university campus so if combining all the students living in campus there is actually more girls than boys.

Hostel rooms have 3 people sharing in first year, 2 in second year and single rooms in third and final year for boys. as for girls, they have to share room for all 4 years. all the fees is included in the earlier mentioned fees and no other payment has to be done. If someone ends up using 20000 rupees reserved for food bill, extra payment has to be paid in next semester fees. One thing that is the problem is that you can't get better facilities by using extra money.

Alumni association is there through many different programs which help in interactive sessions between students and alumni. thay do help in future guidance and also donate in different sectors of the college.

JEE is the only entrance exam which gets you admitted in the college. after JEE mains exam result is out you can apply for the online counselling through uttarakhand technical University. when you are given a seat in counselling you can report in the college admission cell to claim your seat. you have to pay one semester worth of fees to claim the seat. College administration doesn't provide information about that so you should be careful and keep some money with you.

This is a weak point of college in my opinion. Most of the faculty members don't believe in modern ways of education. they believe if the student is loyal to them they deserve good marks and if some students somehow object their ways they will make you repeat the course. In general the EGO of these people is too high and very easily hurt. and you won't even know what offended them. Once you offend them either you repeat the course or you get very little marks even if you try your best.
