Remarks

It was close to home, and had a good reputation, with good infrastructure and I ended up really liking the English department, and the teachers. It was also not very expensive and came with good feedback and reviews.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus was just fine. The faculty was extremely friendly and understanding, specially our Head Asijit Dutta, and our other teachers Anisha Sen, Rituparna Roy and ex-teacher Anurima Chanda. they helped everyone regardless of marks secured.

Placement Experience

I have heard that Heritage has good tie ups and for the commerce and science depts the placements happen right after graduation, although I'm not too sure about my own dept.

College Events

Always up to some event. there are different clubs one can be a part of, and many options to choose from. Debates, quizes and dance programs happen the most, but others such as seminars and workshops are held every now and then.

Campus Life

Lots of grounds to play sports in. It has good and big classrooms, although no A.C, but it has an air conditioned and averagely stocked library, and good options are available in the canteen and very affordable.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
