There are many pros of chosing and learing in D.Y.Patil college and personally saying there are no cons at all. I feel lucky to passed out from this college. College will make you performer and professional which will help you throughout your career life.
Entrance Preview
I gave MH-CET Maharashtra State Entrance Exam for Engineering and I Scored 134/200 which was a good score for that batch and my rank was around 3000 for engineering in state. I chose this college because of its teaching faculties expertise and campus. I did find it better than what other options were there.
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes this is why opted this college this college offers lots of opportunity for learning new things and innovations. They have there Entrepreneurs group, Mechanical baja team for innovations in cars, Astro group for Astronomy lovers and lot more. They Motivate for innovations and that's what is needed in every engineering college is what i think.
Internships Opportunities
Yes there are few sandwich courses in Production and Mechanical Engineering streams where our college do provide internships with good stipend also so that you can get practical real time knowledge as well as you will be industry ready when you pass out from here.
Placement Experience
This is the thing where everyone looks while chosing college options for engineering And yes our college has proven placements records with 85%+ placements every year. Well known companies like IBM,TCS,Syntel, Infosys , Capgemini comes for placements and they give salary package avg. of 3.2 Lacs Per Annum for BE students And i do want to add that some of these companies hire in Mass every year.
College Events
There are Annual Technical Fests, Cultural Events in D.Y.Patil college which are like most sponsored events in the city they arrange National/State level competitions/workshops where students from all over country participate and wins prizes. These events are on big scale runs for around week time and city Radio teams and News teams also comes to cover these events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
This thing is very unique about this college that inspire of providing such a good facilities and faculties , fees is very less comparatively other colleges in city. They do offer scholarships for needy students and concessions in fees if needed. One can even pay fees in feasible time, they do understand concerns.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes there are scholarships provided by this college for deserving students like exemptions in tution fees and development fees. If student performs good in exams and if he is needy then he can avail these scholarships. Along with this, one can take education loan from any bank and college will support you for all the documentation part. I personally took education loan and got it sanctioned easily.
Campus Life
There are students from all across country and sometimes international students also in some batches. College offers chance to learn all cultures. Ratio is balanced. College has pretty good infrastructure and state of the art labs and classroom facilities. There are Robotics,debates and Paper Presentation competitions arranged at National/State level by this college very one can get very good exposure and learning.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels is very big and with all facilities provided every rooms has 2 student's living and food provided is also very good,healthy and hygienic. If at all one did not get availability of hostel then college provides help of other accommodations options in nearby area and there are huge number of options available in the area where this college is.
Alumni/Alumna
College do offers time to time guidance and alumni meet starting from college first day till end day of college, they do arrange speaks by alumni of this college which are at very high positions in country or in foreign. Which will motivate you to achieve your dreams and perform well.
Exam Structure
Learning in D.Y. Patil college was never hectic. It was a pleasant four years journey. College schedule was good where you will have class and labs structure arranged such like you will not get bored of lectures all the day and focus was more on labs where everyone can get more practical knowledge.
Admission
Admission process was through CET and I gave my preferences in CET options list and D.Y. Patil collge was in my first 9 options. Few days later,I got to know that i got my selected choice on the results of 1st round seat allocation date. I was more than happy for getting college of my choice.
Faculty
Along with the things i mentioned above, one more reason why i chose this college is, they have very good faculties for teaching subjects for every department with 20+ yrs experience and expertise teachers will be there at every step to help students be there Class or Lab sessions, they will help you out anytime.
