Factors what I think :- 1. Last few years cut off of entrance exams for the college & the department 2. Location of College 3. Reviews of college from ex-students & seniors 4. Faculties My college situated at Salt Lake sector-V which is known for IT sector of Bengal. Under wbjee Techno Main Salt Lake is a prominent college. I had talked with many seniors about the college and they give me green signal. According to my rank it is better college than anyone.

Course Curriculum Overview

There has many courses like B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, civil engineering, Computer science & engineering, Biotech Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic & Communication Engineering. Also there have BBA,BCA,BHM,MBA.

Placement Experience

Basically Tech companies are came here, mainly TCS, Wipro, Cognizant etc. Most of placements are in IT sector.

College Events

Infrastructure is good. There has good labs under that many departments like mechanical, civil, computer(cse & it), Management, biotech. There have many events(both intra & inter events) in every year & many social-cultural club like Geekonix, Y east, Samarth, Samaritans etc.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
