Totally different what i had thought before coming here.

College management here is a bit irresponsible they don't take of anything everything they put on the students.

I appeared for IMUCET & got 293 AIR it's not so easy to get this campus i chose this college because I didn't want to drop or waste my 1year i can do well in this field.

Course totally focuses on the core engineering subjects makes students aware of the ongoing difficulties & toughness of being a seaman time to time we have to appear for exams & lot of courses to be done before joining the ship the workshop of this college is the best thing here we can learn so many things in the workshop all types of machines & engines have been installed in the workshop.

Yes college has started to provide internship from this year but there is no stipend for the same students have to spend their own money for fooding & lodging internship facility is not so good.

Placements & job opportunities are really good here..many companies come here to recruit the students and the average package that they give is between 5-6 lakhs companies like NYK LINES, SEATEAM, FLEET MANAGEMENT, SHIPPING CORPORATION OF INDIA, OMCI, GREAT EASTERN, MSC, PIL come to our college for recruitment.

There are so many events held in our college i can't even make you count all of them the best of all is the TEMPEST our college fest which spans for 4-5 days these 5 days are the most beautiful days for the college students especially for the first year students no restrictions for them during these 5 days.

Course fee is a bit high but affordable it's 9 lakhs for 4 years examination fees we have to pay in all the semesters it's about 3000-4000 per semester the students who can't afford the fees have got a very good option they can take loan from state bank of India which they can repay back after they earn by getting the job.

Yes lain faculty is available interested or the students who can't afford can take the loan from state bank of India it's very easy to take loan here scholarships are also given to top 30 students.

Sports facilities & sports teams of this college is very good sports is taken utmost care by the students themselves extracurricular activities are not so much taken care only in college fest & university day there are only 3 girls in one batch of 230-240 students.

Hostel facilities are not that good but it will do infrastructure is not so good as this college is too old rooms & building are very old mess food is average it's will do obviously every time they can't afford to give you good food but many times they provide you good food.

Alumni network is very good there is a special bonding between the students passed out from this college seniors help their juniors like brothers.

Class routine is too hectic generally our class hours is from 9am to 12:30pm & 1:30pm to 4:30 pm we have 3-4 labs in each semester classes are very lengthy and tiring especially the workshop day is the toughest & hardest day of the week fall ins held in the morning & evening 8:30 are the most irritating thing.

I got to know about IMUCET in May 2013 filled up the form & appeared for the same i got a very good rank & as this is the best campus of IMU, I opted for this campus & came here on 7th August & got myself admitted into this college but before coming here, we had to go to Chennai for counselling as my rank was good, I got my first choice there detailed physical fitness checkup was carried out we had to submit the counselling fees & get ourselves enrolled.

Faculty of our college are too good they have deep knowledge of this field as they are from the same field they have also gone through everything what we are going through most of the faculties are the pass outs of our college they know each and everything about this field they have got the experience.
