Awesome experience.

I enjoyed the college life fullest and the at the same learned a lot from mates, juniors, seniors, faculty members, non-teaching staffs, society & the most importantly from time( time teaches a lot everyone). I enjoyed a lot the live performance of poet cum politician Dr. Kumar Vishwas & Writer Chetan Bhagat. One request to college authority that if possible please improve the mess food quality. I always miss the golden days spent in NIT AGARTALA.

I had cleared AIEEE (Now known as JEE MAINS) in 2008 in third attempt with AIR 23904 & STATE (Jharkhand) rank of 715. At the time of counseling i was giving preference to branch(ECE) over the colleges & finally i got NIT AGARTALA with ECE branch.

Our college was autonomous & had semester based course curriculum. We had 8 semester & in each semesters we had to study more or less five to six theory papers and three to four practical or lab papers. The syllabus were same as compare all the IITs or NITs.

I did my internship in BHEL JHANSI (UP) for two months with a stipend of Rs 6000 per month & for one month in BSNL RANCHI(Jharkhand) with no stipend. My other batch-mates did internship in NTPC, SIEMENS ELECTRONICS, BEL & MOSER BAER.

In my time for mechanical, electrical & civil had very good placement as the company like NTPC, ONGC, IOCL, GAMMON INDIA, BHEL had visited our campus. At that time CSE & our branch ECE had slightly poor placement compare to other branches. I got placed in software company HCL in first attepmt and our college had rule that if any student got placed in any company then he/she can take part in recruitment of any other company only after full placement.

NIT AGARTALA had cultural fest named as MOKSHA and technical fest named as AAYAM which is now combined and known as ADVAITAM since 2014( First time organized in feb 2014). The past successful versions of AAYAM and MOKSHA have observed personalities like chetan bhagat, vishal dadlani, sona mohapatra, kumar vishwas, and prof gautam biswas enlightening as well as motivating the participants.

Fee structure is feasible as it is one of the cheapest NIT college among the 30 NITS of india, at my time time we had to pay only one lakh forty thousand for 4 years including fooding & lodgind. Moreover loans from all the banks are easily available on the name of NIT & student can even get it through the bank in the campus.

BHARTI AIRTEL( Leading telecom Company of india) provides scholarship to one student of ECE branch every year who has least AIR and least annual income of parents. My best friend was the scholar of my batch & he got all the fooding & lodging expenses from the company loans are easily available from all the banks i had taken loan from STATE Bank for purchasing LAPTOP & semester fees

Campus life is awesome just like all other engineering because its friends always who makes this life of 4 years awesome. Gender ratio in my branch was approx 1:1 and in fact in all the branches the gender ratio were more or less same except mechanical branch (which is common in all the engineering colleges) in which only one girl was there with batch strength of 60. Students from almost all the states were present in the college. In sports i used to play cricket, volleyball, carrom and sometimes table tennis but the college had facility for almost all the sports which is improving day by day. An international level cricket has been prepared recently and will be inaugurated by SACHIN TENDULKAR & P.M. NARENDRA MODI in dec 2015. NIT AGARTALA has its own music club & robotics club.

Hostels were under construction when i had taken admission but now it is looking fabulous. Hostel & Mess fee are least compared to all other NITS. Mess management provide non-veg meal 3 days a week, however the food quality is not good as per my view. For 1st year two students (some times four) are allotted one room and from 2nd year onward single room facility is available. There are more than enough seats in hostel, so no need to live in PG.

Alumni Network & interaction with seniors and juniors is very appreciable in our college. I got the information about the BHARTI AIRTEL scholarship from my branch senior only and he helped me a lot in this regards. There is no such memorable incidents of interaction with alumni however it was always be beneficial for me.

Course was student friendly, every semester we had mid semester exam of 20 marks, end semester exam of 50 marks and 20 marks for internal assignment, attendance & surprise test. Lab exams & Viva were conducted after end semester exam with sufficient so that student feel always tension free.

I got admission in this institute through AIEEE ( Now known as JEE MAINS) India's one of the most prestigious exam followed by IIT JEE ( now known as JEE ADVANCED) in the field of getting admission in government engineering colleges like NIT. Counselling was conducted offline ( now its completely online) in B.I.T MESRA and after getting seat in NIT AGARTALA i went there and took admission.

I took admission in NIT AGARTALA in 2008 and at that time the course curriculum and faculty were good but not at par, because the college got NIT degree in 2007 only & we were the 2nd batch of the college as NITIAN( before that college was regional engineering college). But as the time passed faculties were improved and now it has excellent and veteran faculty as i got the information from juniors.
