Remarks

IIT KGP is my favourite because my idol Sundar pichai is from this college. I chose Mathematics and computing because I like both maths and computers. Weather at kharagpur is very unpredictable and I liked unpredictable things.

Course Curriculum Overview

I did not go to my college till yet.I am under counselling process only. I can't explain this on my own experience but I can tell about the infrastructure of IIT Kharagpur. IIT Kharagpur is oldest IIT of India. It has extremely good infrastructure.

Placement Experience

Job oppurtunity at IIT Kharagpur is extraordinary. The computer science branch is very good as per placement and job opportunities. Mathematics and computing branch is also very good with very high placement records

College Events

Campus life according to seniors is very awesome. There are many events oriented very often. There are many of the extra curricular activities to do. Many games outdoor and indoor both are there at the campus.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
