when i was attending the counselling for college selection i intended to take admission in Assam engineering college(AEC) and i was interested more in computer science engineering. But in AEC they had only few seats for the that branch, so i had to opt for JEC which had more number seats for Computer science branch and the tuition fees was not expensive as well. So that's why i opted for this college. I had no idea about this college before joining but after taking admission here i learnt many new things, this college made me realize a lot of different faults that i had within me and helped me work on them. Regarding opting for this course, i always had an keen interest in technology and stuff related to it so i opted for this course

My course was well updated but it had some drawbacks, the course didn't have many interesting topics and it got really tough at times to cope up with all the things at once, Yes industrial exposure was there, The computer science faculty was really great and friendly and they always helped me and my classmates in many situations.

All the placements and job opportunities in our college are maintained by the college placement cell and by far they have done a great job in offering jobs through a number of companies. Generally a lot of companies visit our college,out of which OIL, cognizant, zaloni,TCS etc are the mass recruiters in most of the years. Alumni networking for job referrals is good but its not really the best

Apart from academic things, all other extracurricular things are really great. From technical to cultural festivals everything has a lot of student interests and all of us works hard to make every festival a sight to behold in every year. Participation in technical contest, debates, and cultural things are way more promising then anything else. Putting academic things aside, all other extracurricular activities are really fun and enjoyable

when i first joined my hostel the infrastructure was not really good, it had a lot of broken stuff and most of the bathrooms were not working properly.But recently, government offered a lot of money to renew every kind of poor infrastructure in every college that are under the government
