Remarks
I thoroughly enjoyed and I cherish every singly moment of my stay in MES College of Engineering. I would definitely recommend to any students who would consider pursuing Engineering to join MES College if Engineering situated in Kuttippuram and they will not regret the decision.
Entrance Preview
I took the Kerala state Entrance examination and scored a rank of 2300. MES College was then the leading Private College in Kerala and luckily I could get a seat with the score I had.
Course Curriculum Overview
The subjects covered are as dictated by Calicut University and they are very good. The knowledge gained through the 4 year period is apt and helps perfectly when you enter the professional life. Every single person from my Batch is now placed with leading Companies different arts of the World.
Internships Opportunities
Apologies, But I am really not aware this and would request/suggest you to check with the College. However being a well reputed College, I would assume that they would have this covered and done properly.
Placement Experience
There were quite a lot of Companies that came to our College for placement which included (Satyam, Havells, UST etc). Ten years back we used t be offered Rs.2,20,000/- per annum. Probably the current Batch would be able to comment on the current package offered.
College Events
During my College days, every Batch/course students used to conduct Technical festivals per year. 12 years back I had the opportunity to conduct the Technical fest 'Frequentz' which was a grand event. Apart from Technical fests, cultural fests and College day events are conducted exceptionally well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
During my College days, the fee structure was very much feasible (affordable). I used to pay like Rs.8000/- per semester and my Hostel expenses used t come around Rs.2200/- per month. My entire course expense was only about a lakh whereas nowadays I hear getting a kid admitted to pre-school costs Rs.1,00,000/-.
Fees and Financial Aid
Apologies, I am not aware of this as I never had to avail one. I can only recommend to check with College or other students. I don't remember anyone mentioning it during our College days.
Campus Life
Campus life usually will be the best in one's life and MES College of Engineering was not an exception in providing us that. The College had a perfect mixture in local and NRI students. Since run by MES, majority of the students and faculty were Muslims and great people. Gender ratio would be 1:1.
Hostel Facilities
My entire four years with MES College, I have stayed in the hostel. The accommodation and food provided is best in standards. The rooms would be cleaned on a daily basis. We had gym and internal games room. Starting from our early morning coffee, we used to be provided with delicious food.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network and Senior students have been very helpful in many aspects - Be it being connected, helping understand the latest trends in the industry, supporting with study tips, Job opportunities etc.
Exam Structure
Exam structure was perfect. We had University exams twice a year which makes it once in six months. We had 2 internal exams each prior to every University exam which prepared us well and gave the right confidence prior to the University exam. For Lab exams again we had one internal and one external exam per semester.
Admission
I appeared for the Kerala state entrance examination and scored rank 2300. I had about 5 top Colleges in my list when I went for the counselling process which is when you get to know the College which is available for the rank achieved. MES College was in my preferred list and I was fortunate to have got into the College which was in my list.
Faculty
The College faculty was very supportive, understanding and helped us a lot in the learning process. Their knowledge on the subject was commendable which helped us attend every single with complete confidence. Willingness and passion towards their profession is another highlight of the great Teachers I had in this College.
