Remarks

first of all JD Birla is one of the best BBA colleges in Calcutta with a NAAC grading of A. The college has various societies and clubs including the Entreprenuership club,green club and drama club. Acumen is one of the best societies in JD Birla which helps in improving the over all performance of an individual as well as teaches them how to be presentable. It also conducts various workshops and one of the biggest fest of JD Birla is Invictus in which various students can participate and get a certificates if they win.

Course Curriculum Overview

As far as curriculum is concerned jD birla keeps the student updated with their updated curriculum.faculty is also very good teachers are also available at any time you want them to be helping you. teachers are very helpful and they help as and when you require any help from them,they teach very well. For BBA in the first semester we have various subjects like business mathematics, organisational behaviour, environmental applications, entrepreneurship development and in second semester we have financial accounting and many more interesting subjects.

the placement of JD Birla is also good it provides placements from various big companies including Deloitte, United Colours of Benetton and many more. It not only provides placement but also internships from these companies and the selection is done on the basis of group discussions and in many cases their is personal interview too.

JD Birla provides extra curricular activities and events for the students which shapes the overall personality of the students, it has various workshops on entrepreneurship, importance of drawing and yoga. it not only focuses on studies but also focuses on various other topics which is important in individuals life.It also has various financial events,marketing events in which a person can earn certificate.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any such scholarship but as far as I know the college provides students with good to those who do well in a academics

Campus Life

Campus of JD Birla is also good it has its own field where various activities take place. All the classes are air-conditioned.The college also provides with the Wi-Fi facility annd every classes is provided with the projector.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Admission here depends on your 12th grade and we also have a test on checking our English. Students who fail there even if he/she has good grades in 12th stands not eligible.
