Remarks

College is nice and located at Posh Area in South Delhi and one of the best college of DU. Established 50 years ago one of the oldest colleges in DU and near Lajpat Nagar market. Well connected to metro station Vinobapuri and PGDAV bus stand.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose BA prog. In this college because I want to Crack UPSC and this course is best suited for me. And the student ratio is also nice about 1:1 in College. Teachers are also nice and helpful in every aspect of college.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college offers internship opportunity as college organise annual internship fair in summers. Companies like Deloitte, airtel etc. Comes to college for the hiring of students. About 12,000rs salary was offered to students.

Placement Experience

There are few possibilities of campus placement as far as I know but some companies come to hire commerce student from 5th and 6th semester. Deloitte, KMPG, Reliance, Airtel etc. Average salary package is about 3.5 lakh per annum. I will try to crack UPSC after graduation and I am also preparing for that.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are quite high in this college about 10,000+ for every course. It is quite high as compared to other off-campus and south campus colleges. No, don't think there is any scholarship scheme in this college.

Campus Life

The college organises annual fest Falak every year and also organise internship fairs from time to time. College library is huge and you can find any book in the library of your choice. Classrooms are average as compared to fees taken. The college has Cricket, Football teams and Also has NCC, NSS. There are about 7-8 societies in the college like Economics, Finance, Savi, Rivtva etc.

I choose B.A from DU SOL because the course curruculmis exactly the same as regular DU colleges which gives degree strong crediblity for UPSC goverment jobs and further studies like M.A the syllabus is coprehensive and covers core subjects like histyory, poltical science and english litreature in detail

KMC and DU reality and my college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months

PGDAV is best in terms of facilities

Students often choose PGDAV College because of its affordable fees structure and as it is affiliated with University of Delhi. It also offers various undergraduate courses like bcom hons, BA, etc. It is located in south Delhi and has decent connectivity via public transportation. The cut offs are slightly lower than other colleges of north campus. Like most Colleges of DU, admission here is on the basis of merit but now according to New Education Policy it is based on Cuet scores. Du releases cut of list in several rounds, students who meet the criteria can apply for admission. After selecting the college students need to verify their documents by the college.
