Based on your rank and quota you'll get a seat here. NIT Kurukshetra has the NIRF ranking 40 and 8th best NIT among all NITs. Also, this college has many opportunities for making a bright future.

I chose Mechanical Engineering in NIT kurukshetra because I'm interested in IT. Mechanical engineering is the base of automotive sector so, I preferred my career in this. The faculty student ratio in colleges approximately 30:1. All faculties are well qualified from good institutes. The teaching method is satisfied and enough for every student to understand. There are 2 mid term and 1 end term exam system in NIT Kurukshetra. Each mid term exam is of 50 min and 15 Mark's and End term exam is of 3 hour and 50 min. For pass exam is not so hard if you have studied well you can pass exam easily.

Bajaj, DRDO, john deere, Siemens etc are the major companies for internship. Projects are also available for students. During internship because of good performance students are getting PPO (pre placement offer).

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Company's started visiting from 7th semester. This year the visited companies are - Maruti Suzuki Bajaj, DRDO, Honda, Hero, IOCL, HPCL etc. Highest package- 18LPA. Average package- 7.02LPA. % of students placed- 55.21%. I'm preparing for GATE.

Fees is approximately same as other NITs. The academic fees is 150000/year and 50k/year for hostel. Fees relaxation system is also available for economically poor students. Student those family income is less then 100000/year, the academic fees is zero and for 1 lakh to 5 lakh is 24000/year. There're more then 50 scholarships programs in college.

The annual function is 'Confluence' which is cultural program is the on of best fest in north India. Tech fests are Techspradha and Autokirti. Library is common for all branch and having more then 2 lakh books. Every book is available in college for students. Classrooms are fully facilitated with green board, projector and an LED screen. The sports is also part of class curriculum one class is fixed for sports activities. Apart from this many sports facilities are available for making future in it. The clubs are Mechsoc, SAE, MAD, ELAD, HLAD, Siksha, Bangra, SAC etc which are run by students under professor.

Hostels are so nice with Wi-LAN port in every room. Lifts are also available. Emergency medical service is also available in hostels. Indoor games are also available in common room like chess, table tennis, carom etc. TV is also available in common room. Food is very nice but non-veg is not in menu. There is no such registration process for hostel you have to give your response for hostel during admission. If you write yes then the college will provide hostel.
