Remarks

Studying in Symbiosis was a real fun. They have a proper balance between theory and practicals. This differentiates the college from other colleges. The college takes a lot of efforts to introduce various new concepts which are essential for one's development. A student can avail all the facilities and enhance his career while also developing his overall personality.

Entrance Preview

I did not take any such exam to enter into Symbiosis as I completed first year from St. Mira's College. After scoring around 75% in FY, I got admission in Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce in (second year). It was a little skeptical but I was happy to make it finally.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure is appropriate. It matches with the current requirements and trends in the market. As the college has become autonomous sometime back, it should further lead to good course structure as they now have a liberty to include and exclude the topics they want based on the market demand.

Internships Opportunities

No, at b.com level, they do not provide internship, however the placement cell really works hard and gets one of the best companies. This gives a golden opportunity to the students to get placed in one of the leading companies which otherwise is not very easy. Also, the salary offered is as good as an MBA pass out.

Placement Experience

5

As I mentioned earlier, the placement cell really works hard and gets one of the best companies. This gives a golden opportunity to the students to get placed in one of the leading companies which otherwise is not very easy. Also, the salary offered is as good as an MBA pass out.

College Events

5

Symbiosis college is well known for the extra-curricular activities. A lot of cultural programs are conducted in the college. A student should try and be a part of such cultural programs, it gives a lot to learn at a graduate level. This also counts during the interviews as most of the people seek extra-curricular activities these days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is really good. The fee for our course is not at all much. In fact, studying in one of nation's best college at such a low fees was really the best thing for me. When I was studying, I paid around INR 8 K for one term. This does not put extra pressure on the person or his family.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had not availed any scholarship during my studies as the fee was really affordable. However, after completion of the course, they had a tie-up with a renowned institute in Europe region which offered us scholarship when we cleared SNAP (an exam required to get admission in Symbiosis college for MBA).

Campus Life

3

Campus life is a real fun. I don't feel any other college can match up with the quality of life at college campus. Most of the students are from different places of India along with some international students. The culture, therefore, is mixed which gives a chance to interact with different people coming from different regions. There are various competitions held in college which is also a fun not to be missed. The are various clubs, a student can join a club which matched his interest and hobbies.

Hostel Facilities

3

I have not stayed in hostel as my family was in Pune at that time. However, I have heard that hostel facilities are really good, just that you may have to hurry to book the hostels as they quickly get occupied. I have no idea about the mess food though.

Alumni/Alumna

I had got to interact with my seniors/alumni in an alumni meet which was held in college. In that, everyone shared their valuable experiences with us which really helped to shape our future keeping their suggestions in mind. Most of the alumni have been placed in big firms.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very well. They try and test in one of the best ways. This does not get hectic, as the syllabus is covered much before the exams. Students have an option to stay back and take help of their teachers in the topics they find difficult.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty in Symbiosis college is always one of the best. They not only help in understanding the topics well, but also help in a lot of projects to enhance the knowledge and skills. Through this way, one can really groom himself well during the class and even after that. They are also easily reachable.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
