Remarks

You can notice that all my reviews are negative but again it depends on what i am comparing with. if at all if anyone wants to join the college- please make sure you read the right review of a specific course which you are opting- this is just so focused on my particular course "printing technology and graphic communication".

Entrance Preview

I did not take any entrance exam, i joined in management seat - I was an out of Maharastra student (i am from Bangalore). Did my diploma in Printing technology and was looking for a B.E college, i found PVG's COET is well renowned for the Printing technology course - I did not had any 2nd thought.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The Curriculum which they follow is pretty old and very few subjects target today's technology, important they don't have proper interaction with the industry and the students really don't have any idea how the industry works. The final year project gives a little touch to the real world but students with their mindset are not ready for the sudden change in learning. I Can tell you even the Final year student don't know what he/she gonna do in future.

Internships Opportunities

They Don't provide any internship. I really hope they at least have tie ups with the industry and give an little exposure to the students before they enter into the battle field, I heard they have started it but its not compulsory.

Placement Experience

2.5

Interesting i was waiting to talk on this. There is this typical rule which the college follows "Students who got selected in a company are not allowed to attend the next company". I know this rule is practical but i am against it only for this particular college. They literally will not give any clear picture what exactly a company is offering and the designation. Let me give you my example, "I got selected for a company at my first round and had negotiated for my salary and notified them if you wont offer the requested salary please don't select me so that i can attend the next company this went well as my placement head was their when i said this" Later on i had this notice from the placement head - if you are not interested in the profile and offer don't attend the interview - but they hardly give us the information before so we have to talk with them to know the offer. "Overall the experience with Placement is worst". The company come for campus are Avery Dennison, Sakata, Siegwerk, Kodak, Bilt, Repro India, Seshasaai, Buruda druck etc . 90% student were placed in my academic year 2015.

College Events

2.5

There are events organized by students of each department. There are NO events organized by college as a whole. The support for the students form the staff are good but there are no particular staff dedicated to the events. We have to get series of approval for using the auditorium (Outside events have priority than the college program). Again this review is subjected to my particular course its not generic because it is related to printing technology.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The tuition fee is way too high compare to the colleges in Bangalore (But cheaper when compare to colleges in Pune). I don't have much things to say about the fee structure because it depends on the Caste of the student- this is same in every college that the SC, ST or backward caste students pay way too less than what i have paid- with my fee (10 SC/ST students can pay their fee or even more) i used to pay Rs. 98,000 /- per year where in SC - will pay Rs. 7000/- per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

As per my knowledge there are no such Scholarship/ loan facility which college offers but there are few external organisation who do offer scholarship and it will be valued truly.

Campus Life

2

The campus life is good the environment and the surroundings are just fine with trees all over, Sports are pretty good and the extracurricular activities are been encouraged one thing is great the students who joins the college- they have friendly nature- this makes you to stay in this college.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

One word worst, the hostel interiors are so untidy students you will feel the streets are much cleaner. The bathrooms have a thick layer of fungus and unhygienic. The paints on the wall is so old they wont stick anymore. The smell in the Canteen/Mess just don't feel like to eat. The Food quality in the street food is much better than the mess.

Alumni/Alumna

I dint get exposure to the alumni network and i really don't have any example that a student is been profited by these.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is just fine. There is enough time given for the students to study and the Marks structure is just fine. The Lab exams are not been focused properly they have very easy going attitude. Again this review is subjected to my particular course its not generic.

Faculty

0.5

This question is the easiest - Only few faculty have the right to be in their position what they are right now, but most of them are not. Some of the faculty just know the one/two subjects which they are teaching from years (Not sure they will be able to handle even if their is slight change in topics of the same subject, You know what i mean?) note: This review is subjected to my particular course its not generic.

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

Sakec have many job/internship opportunities. The college provides different trainings and intership opportunities. Currently, in 2023-24, 42 students have alreday been placed with 25 LPA (highest CTC offered). College have tie-up with many reknowed companies. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. My plan after getting the degree of bachelor of engineering is to go for masters and acknowledge more and more knowledge in engineering filed. And be my level best. I'm also looking forward for opportunities to go abroad for my mtech degree. Future my expectations form college are High. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

I'm choosing this course because I'm interested in programming languages. Faculty members here are at the best level. They are very supportive and knowledgeable. They made lectures most interactive. All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
