IIM Sambalpur Review

Initially, IIM Sambalpur prepares a list of selected candidates based on their CAT score. The selected candidates will be then called for the personal interview process. The final selection list will be based on the CAT score, Personal Interview score, profile score which includes the work experience and past academic performance.

The course duration of the MBA is two years which is divided into 6 terms. The curriculum of the first year lays a foundation and at the end of the first year, students should complete a summer internship for a period of 8 to 10 weeks. The courses are structured around the concept of credits and each credit represents 10 hours of contact sessions.

IIM Sambalpur holds a record of 100% internship placement. More than 85 companies participated in the on-campus summer internship placement process for the batch of 95 students. The highest salary package offered is INR 1,60,000 and the average salary package is INR 55,432. Some of the top recruiters are Boston Consulting Group, Google, Walmart, McDonald's, Amul, Pantaloons, Bajaj Allianz, IBM, RBI, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Tata Steel BSL.

Over 100 companies participated in the final placement process of IIM Sambalpur. The highest salary package offered is recorded as INR 18.92 LPA and the average salary package offered is INR 10.87 LPA. Some of the top recruiters of the IIM Sambalpur final placement process are Bajaj Allianz, Aditya Birla Capital, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Amul, Vedanta, HDFC Bank, IBM, Ramco Systems, Tech Mahindra, and MindTree.

The fee structure for the first-year MBA program at IIM Sambalpur including the tuition fee, hostel fee, refundable caution deposit, and mess deposit is INR 6,59,000 out of which candidates should pay INR 2,28,000 in the first installment, INR 2,13,000 in the second installment, and INR 2,18,000 in the third installment.

There are three hostel buildings inside the campus of IIM Sambalpur out of which two are for boys and one for girls. The rooms are provided on twin sharing basis. The rooms are properly ventilated and well-furnished with a bed, almirah, mattress, study tables and chairs. The hostel has high-speed wi-fi connectivity.

The shortlisting of candidates for the personal interview process is based on the marks secured in the CAT examination. For the final selection, 30% weightage will be given to the CAT score, 20% weightage will be given to the performance of the candidates in the personal interview and 50% weightage will be given to the academic profile, work experience and diversity of candidates.
