In 2011, there was an exam called AIEEE. through which i got admission. I did not score well so i did not get UIET in the first place. After 2 months i got UIET through on the spot counselling. I opted for this college because i wanted to study from a govt college or aided college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well frankly speaking, I'm not satisfied with the course curriculum and the course too. The syllabus they were teaching at my time was mostly outdated. Many subjects were of no use. The syllabus is more than 30 yrs old and was still the same till my time. Don't know about today.
Internships Opportunities
No. Till my time there were no scope for internship. College never tried for it, We had to look for it outside by ourselves. If we get one outside then e were not allowed to extend our semester off for it , as internships were normally for 2-3 months minimum, but we used to get a break of max 1.5 months. Stipend rarely.
Placement Experience
In 2014, it was like there was no placement at all. In 2015 , the T&P cell worked a bit better in calling companies to our college for placements. Comparatively, a good number of students got placed at that time. Unfortunately i wasn't got placed, as there were high eligibility criteria .
College Events
As far as events and fest are concerned, a number of technical and cultural events were organised time to time. Technical events were held both branch wise and common for whole college. As i'm from CSE branch so my technical fest was TAKNEEK.
Fee Structure And Facilities
One of the most important reason why i opted UIET was the fee structure. As it was semi-govt, its fee structure was feasible, unlike other colleges, especially private college. Fees per semester was roughly around 30000-35000 max. And for other colleges its around 50000.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know much about scholarship. But yes there was some scholarship or fee concession for backward class students.
Faculty
Faculty is not so good, not so bad. Some were very good and some were not. More than 50% were temporary or M.tech aspirants. Though they taught us well, but still they must hire professionals.
