Remarks

I choose to attend this college because it is one of the oldest well established premier institute in our country in civil engineering. I choose this college because of the exposure it gives to its students being the oldest among any other colleges. Admission to this college is done based on IIT jee advanced examination after class 12th. Other branches in this college are also at par the international level and other older IITs.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose this course because I seeing the opportunity of civil engineering in future and not only that being in this branch one can also pursue a career in any other field like technical jobs by taking a minor degree. And civil engineering is an optional subject in other competitive examination like IES. The student faculty ratio is quite good and optimum. Also, all professor are well qualified and dignified in their respective fields but some of them lack teaching skill, I must admit. There are generally two exams in one semester and several assignment and quizzes being held from time to time which is properly designed so to force students to apply their concepts effectively.

Internships Opportunities

5

Several opportunities are available for internship from these colleges as it has so many alumni working in different fields and the Level of the curriculum here shape student to get an internship without so much of hustle. In fact, several professors here have so many projects with them so it becomes very handy for students to get an internship and learn from them.

Placement Experience

5

Placement of this college is among the top listed placement you can hear around of any college. Every top-notch companies visit here for campus placement and hire students at very good placement highest package offered last year was 1.5 crore.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for the courses are too high like for 4yrs of B.Tech course one has to almost 12 lakh but for financially backward people several fee waiver schemes are provided and several other scholarships on a merit basis are provided to needy students.SC, ST doesn't have to pay tuition fee for the whole course period which is a big relief for them.

Campus Life

5

You get everything to experience here in college that you can imagine of being in a college be it technical fests like Cognizance in IIT Roorkee, cultural fests like Thomso and many types of clubs being run in the college which train you to be highly valuable in the market. There are Lakhs of books available in the grand library and all classroom with all modern facilities to teach students with modern labs. All sorts of sporty can also be found to be played inside the huge campus.

Hostel Facilities

5

All sorts of basic facilities are provided to all the students with a single room allotted to everyone. Mess food is of average level. Every student gets to stay in the hostel and they don't have to rent a room outside the campus. There are cafes and subway inside the campus which provide meals at a subsidized rate.

Interview Experience

5

One has to give Jee mains and qualify for that examination and then sit for the jee advanced examination. Then if you fall in qualified people you can get admission to this college based on your rank. You can give Jee advanced only 2 times after 10+2 i.e.one in the same year as of 10+2 examination and the following year. You must be qualified with 75% marks in your board examination or be in the top 10 percentile of students to be eligible to sit for Jee advanced. The subject requirements for this examination are Physics, Chemistry and Maths of class 11th and 12th with some topics of higher level covered than NCERT.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
