Remarks
Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies or MRIIRS, as we call It, is located in Faridabad. This was perhaps the very first college we went to see for admissions and after clearing all the formalities, we put our application on hold for other options. But in the very end, I chose this college due to the following reasons: 1. Excellent faculties 2. Labs have been beautifully designed and equipped. 3. Library is excellent and there are 2 huge libraries (digitized as well) 4. Innovation and research labs give it an upper edge. 5. Beautiful campus 6. Oppurtunities (National and International events) The admission process starts pretty much from March end or April beginning and continue till June. Learnt from my seniors and relatives and the official site (manavrachna.edu.in)
Course Curriculum Overview
The course which I chose was B. tech (Computer Science specialization in Cyber Security and Forensics). I was always interested in AI and Cybersecurity and looked at it from an opportunistic point of view, therefore chose this course. The faculty to student ratio is (1:40) The faculties here are all generally doctorates and are some are also pursuing their PhD even while teaching. The term exams ALWAYS happen on time and they are designed in such a way that even an average student can pass them.
Internships Opportunities
During the offline mode, there were many internship opportunities that had been offered to the students but now in the online mode, there are more training, certifications, and workshops which are being offered by the college.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester onwards. During the offline mode, there were more companies that visited the campus including Amazon, Capgemini, TCS, HCL, and others. Despite the present situations, our placement cell has been really trying hard to bring companies to our college. This year many students did get placed through the online mode (highest package of 33 lacs). The Percentage of students getting places (on-campus and off-campus placements ) is roughly 80%.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since mine is a university, the fees vary for different courses and range from 50,000 (B. Sc) a year to 5,00,000 [Dental college]. There are a variety of courses which are offered at the college. My course Btech CSE CSF (short or cybersecurity and forensics) costs approximately 2,09,000. There are scholarships which are available based on a merit scholarship and also there are admission cum scholarship test.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is pretty much great. There is an Annual Cultural Fest named Resurrection, and there is an Annual Technical Fest named Innoskill. Other than these, there are many small events that continuously happen side by side. There are 3 libraries including a central library. All the libraries are digitized. The classroom is fully air-conditioned. Talking of co-curricular, there are many events that are always happening. There are many student organizations which are present in the college along with various societies (dance, theatre, music, art, fashion).
