THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS

IIT Guwahati is a public technical and research university. Good aspects: Awesome place full of greenery and atmosphere. Most flexible IIT in terms of academics and most beautiful campus in the entire INDIA. Awesome infrastructure and faculty. No restrictions. For example, if we are in the Computer Science department but interested in the mechanical department we can choose an extra course from this department and learn whatever we want. Various clubs like racing club dance club are there which we can join and have fun after the class hours. Bas aspects: I didn't find and till now. The admission process is thorough entrance exam (JEE ADVANCED). The dates are in July. since I live in Guwahati I preferred this college over others. I searched the whole Google Wikipedia and YouTube while selecting this college.

Based on my rank I got biotechnology. I didn't choose this course but my rank decided my course but after studying for 2 years I am in love with it. Teachers here are highly qualified and their teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is a little old but relevant and a lot of changes have been made recently. Almost every teacher has done their postdoc from foreign universities. The student-faculty ratio is not known but for every course, there is a minimum of 10 teachers. Almost every teacher uses advanced methods of teaching which are quite interesting for this generation of students. In one Sem we almost have 1 exam for 1 course every month. I studied regularly passing the subject is easy.

Interns are given by various companies to students. Many companies like Google visits to campus and takes students to do intern at their companies. The stipend is 1 lac per month for topmost companies and approx 30k-50k for the best companies.

After the 4th sem, the students are eligible for campus placements. Placements are very good and many topmost companies like Google Amazon comes to our campus every year. Google Facebook Amazon and other 271 companies visit our campus almost every year. Almost 90% of students are placed on our campus. The highest salary was 70 lac and the average is 11-12 lacs. My plan is to get a job after getting the degree.

Fees are nearly 2 lacs 70 thousand (approx) for 1 year which includes the cost of hostel and mess fees for a general student. For a student whose family income is less than 5 lacs, he needs to pay approx 1 lac 50,000 per year. And students with caste certification have to pay 70,000 approx per year. Many scholarships are provided by the government by different names to students. Since I don't take a scholarship so the name is unknown to me.

Campus life Is very chill. Till 5 pm we will be having classes labs but this is the last time to take classes. After 5 pm we do whatever we want. Apart from playing various games, dance, singing and what not we have a swimming pool. The cultural fest is Alcheringa held for 3 days and the technical fest is Technice which is also held for 3 days. In the library, we are having almost all the books required for the course which we study. The Same book has 300-400 copies of it. Classrooms have many benches and a whiteboard where teachers give their presentation. Almost all games played in India are on the campus. All the clubs are run by students. The groups created are on WhatsApp.
