Remarks

Good aspects:-Academic Majors Available.Faculty members are supportive and cooperativeLocationOn-Campus Facilities & Amenities.Student Activities.Career Services.Bad aspects:-Too many assignments are given at the same time.The college canteen is not upto the markThe college doesn't provides a holiday calendarReason of preferring this college is firstly I got this college from WBJEE councelling and Techo is more or else good engineering college in West Bengal.Available in college duniya.com, shiksha.com etc

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I love computer science. Coding is something that I want to do. Faculty is very helpful. There are total 60 students in a class. Most of the faculty have a post grad degree but some them have PhD. In one sem we have 4 continuous assessments, 1 practical exam, and 1 sem exam. If we all study properly for a month or so everyone can pass so yeah it is that difficult.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience

From 3rd semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Microsoft,Access,etc. Highest salary offered till now is 28 LPA.80% of students usually do get placed. My plan is to get a job after getting the degree.

College Events

There are clubs like debate group, fashion group, dancing group, drama group etc.We do have a annual fest called "aarambh" conducted in march and a tech fest called "Techno tech fest" usually conducted in August.

Campus Life

The campus has a basketball and cricket gound. The whole campus has wifi but sometimes it doesn't works. The library is big enough, it has almost all the books. A person can sit for the whole day and read books in the library. We have more than 10 labs in our college and all the equipments are in workable condition.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
