Remarks

The reason for me getting into this college, JDBI because i had heard alot about its brilliant academics, social life, the excellent placements, great exposure. Also,all faculty team members holding Phd. Though had heard that the college shared its campus with school of the same trust and even their fee structure is high due comparetively. Also many students from my school have graduated from this college and are now placed.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members are Ph.D. holders. They also prepare the student for placement as they regularly conduct group discussion and personal interview session for every single student. The conclaves also provide the students with a direct connection with the corporates and excellent placements.

Placement Experience

Byju's offered a salary package of 3.7LPA. Top companies like ITC, Emami, Dabur, GE Healthcare, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, TCS, etc. visit our campus for placements. Top roles, like sales, operation, finance, and HR, are offered to the students.

College Events

JDBI was known for its festival,INVICTUS which is one of the most crowded fests in Kolkata with 3 days of great exposure to the real-life of students with great social ambience and management. Not only this,the day to day events and club activities with endless competitions every week gives you an idea of how to manage an event as well as how to be a part and enjoy the show.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Admission here depends on your 12th grade and we also have a test on checking our English. Students who fail there even if he/she has good grades in 12th stands not eligible. Only 60 students per class so admission becomes that tough and this is why students run in to get admission here....Read More
